Job Details
- Full-time Monday through Friday start and end times vary by day
- Liaison with sales team on new customer delivery scheduling and adjusting delivery schedules for existing customers
- Coordinate delivery adjustments due to holidays
- Utilize the transportation routing software to:
- Maintain customer location database and delivery schedule
- Maintain driver database and work schedule
- Develop standard routes for timely and fuel efficient deliveries
- Route orders for delivery Monday through Friday using the standard routes as a basis, adjusting for weight and delivery time variations
- Send routed orders to the warehouse software applications for picking
- Update customer delivery information(open/close times, route sequence, etc) based on direct instructions from customers, sales reps, and drivers
- Coordinate with truck assignments for each route with the Transportation Manager
- Train a backup router in the routing task responsibilities
- Fill in as a delivery driver to make deliveries
- Assist Transportation Manager with driver performance evaluations
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Delivery and delivery routing experience a plus
- Computer experience with Excel and Roadnet Routing software required
- IBM AS/400 experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
